Social Media is killing Children worldwide

And maybe the biggest Social media killer of them all is actually Trump with his tweets which kill people all around the world. Right now, it's killing people specifically in Turkey. But that's another story.

We were having a party for my wife and so friend's of my wife and one of our daughters came up from San Diego with her baby. During the many conversations I heard about just how bad Social Media is on some kids who aren't strong enough in their own self image yet to withstand the withering Criticism from some.

Whenever you have a platform that can damage people like Social Media can and does often, it isn't like school when I was a child. At least then you could go home and close the front door and you were safe.

Not any more. Now the viral sayings can go out of control 24 hours a day about things that are true or not. Even in my own life I know how bad rumors can be on your life even if they are not true at all by the way. But, for young kids 5 to 18 or older who might not have a good and strong self image yet like most of us do, it can be fatal.

One story the women told was that there was a girl that broke up with a boy that another girl wanted. So, this competitor girl wanted revenge on this girl and enlisted her mother. Then they made up a boy who contacted her online (this wasn't even a real person involved here by the way). Well, this made up boy texted this girl who had broken up with the other boy and got really involved with the girl online but never ever met her (because he didn't really exist) the jealous girl and her mother made him up together. Eventually, this texting romance was ended by the jealous girl and her mother in a very cruel and unnecessary way but the original girl thought it all was real and the original girl committed suicide because of the way this went.

Since then the girl and her mother have been charged with crimes but that doesn't bring back the dead girl after they literally "cat fished her to death".

There are many true stories like this that you can find out about online if you wish to look them up that are just as bad or worse. And these kinds of incidents are killing children 5 to 30 years of age of various emotional maturity states worldwide now every single day.

So now, even if you protect your children from physical harm, you might not be protecting them from psychological harm which also is fatal to many children worldwide at this point as well. And social media harm (true or not) can travel all over the world 24 hours a day to thousands and millions of others and cause fatal harm to children all over the world in various ways.
