It's important to realize that on one hand your cards are more secure but on the other hand they are more easily scanned unless you have RFID technology protecting them. What RFID actually means is either a paper sheath with embedded aluminum chips in it or it means a wallet embedded with aluminum chips to evade portable scanners thieves use to steal your chip information as they walk by.
So, even though you don't want to travel anywhere now outside the U.S. without chips in your cards, you also don't want to go anywhere outside your home without RFID technology in paper sheaths or wallets so portable scanners don't steal your card information on the fly.
