Interstate 5 is underwater southbound at Corning

Friends just came from Ashland, Oregon and they said that they had to wait 1/2 hour to an hour to get off on an exit to go about a mile off the freeway along with trucks and cars to avoid the part of Interstate 5 that was underwater now Southbound. Corning is south of Redding and Red Bluff on Interstate 5 but before you get to Willows, Maxwell and Williams on Interstate 5. So, the southbound lanes are underwater at Corning from flooding in the area. They said many areas are now flooded south of Redding and Red Bluff. As more rains come this could get worse from the Atmospheric rivers that come from just south of Hawaii this year.
