A War with Iran likely would resemble more the Korean war than the Viet Nam War

First of all, Iran has a 1 million man army.

I'm thinking an all out war with Iran likely would resemble more the Korean War or the Viet Nam War simply because Russia is an ally of Iran. But, a nuclear war that destroys the whole earth could also result for a variety of reasons over time too. This is just logical because Iran is much more militarily powerful in many ways especially in ballistic missiles than Saddam Hussein was in Iraq at this point that could be topped with nuclear weapons that might reach the U.S. mainland.
But, an actual earth killing war could come to the U.S. and China and middle East from Russia if they defend Iran from U.S. attacks.

However, the most likely long term outcome would be a 10 or 20 year worldwide Great Depression caused by Iran completely shutting down all oil from the middle east to all nations on earth.

This wouldn't directly affect the U.S. because we now pump enough oil for the U.S. to go on indefinitely. However, most small 3rd world nations governments would collapse from riots from gas and diesel prices at 200 dollars a barrel for oil or more caused by this war with Iran.

So, this is a very serious thing for the whole world and could completely collapse the whole world economy or end the earth itself which is why this is crazy to contemplate a war with Iran in the first place.
