Positive Thinking

I grew up with parents who were very positive thinkers in the "New Thought" movement of the 1900s. My mother was brought into the Saint Germain foundation in 1936 by her Methodist Minister Father when she was 16 I believe. My father chartered a yacht from Vancouver, Canada in 1939 and sailed with his brother and first wife down to California and Long Beach and Catalina island before sailing 40 days without any land to the Tuamoto Archipeligo and Tahiti and stayed about 2 years in that area and the Hawaiian islands before returning to Seattle to where he and his brother were from. During this two years he read: "Unveiled Mysteries", "The Magic Presence", and "The I AM Discourses" by Guy W. Ballard who founded the Saint Germain Foundation starting in the early 1930s. Ballard passed away in 1939 in Los Angeles and his wife, Edna W. Ballard took over the Saint Germain Foundation then along with her Son, Donald Ballard.

By the time my father returned from the South Pacific and Tahiti and the Hawaiian Islands world War II had begun and he joined the Saint Germain Foundation in Seattle after Mr. Ballard had already passed in  1941 or 1942.

I grew up with very positive thinking parents. However, I was suspicious often of many positive thinking people who were not as practical as my parents. My father being an electrician by trade and eventually an Electrical Contractor like his father and brothers, was a very practical man because otherwise you are dead in the construction business if you are not very very practical all the time because there are just so many ways to die in that business every single day. So, if you are not extremely practical you are just dead on any given day.

But, many people I grew up with in the Saint Germain Foundation were not practical like my father and this made me very cynical especially during my high school and college years regarding people in any church that I met along the way. So, this didn't affect my belief in God but it did kill my faith in religions in general watching so many wonderful people dying because they wouldn't go to doctors for example, who believed in positive thinking but who just were not practical about anything in their lives.

I tend to be an extremely practical and pragmatic person because of being raised by my father. So, I tend to see through a lot of the more Airy Fairy positive thinkers who often wind up dead before their time.

If you are going to believe in positive thinking you also have to be very very practical about it or you are just dead. This is true all over the world and not just here in the U.S. by the way.
