What could trigger the next Ice Age?

Well. 1 million years ago the average temperature at the north pole was 76 degrees. If that doesn't trigger and ice age I'm not sure what would. On the other hand there is evidence of global warming on planets like Venus too which might have been caused by the sun getting hotter than it once was. However, this time I think mankind during the last 15,000 to 25,000 years has triggered the latest Ice age that likely will begin within 1000 to 10,000 years I'm thinking. So, if that happens the trick will be to not lose technology that could see at least some of us through to the end of the next ice age so we don't just have to regress back to cave men and cave women during the ice age once again.

So, obviously people have to start preparing for this in order to survive it whenever it comes.

But, 76 degrees didn't trigger the next Ice age 1 million years ago I don't think. Instead it took most of the time of Ferns growing from the north pole down to the equator which suck up more CO2 than almost any other plant to get to where we were in 1900 AD. Ferns are one of the most ancient plants on earth from prehistoric times.
