The Politician on Netflix is a series

I saw a DVR of Gwynneth Paltrow last night on one of the late night shows and she mentioned her husband wrote a part for her in "The Politician" on Netflix. It takes place in Santa Barbara where my wife also grew up. I was watching the pilot last night late and it was just too much for me but my wife really loves the pilot when I showed it to her today. She started talking to me about the "Loud" family which was the first reality show on TV that completely destroyed that family once all their stuff became public. And they lived in Santa Barbara in Montecito. So, middle class and wealthier people learned not to be on reality shows because they tend to destroy people's lives psychologically even though they might put money in some people's pockets. Mostly poorer people are on reality shows now because middle Class and wealthier people have seen the psychological damage the reality shows can do to people's lives.

Trump is an exception to this somehow where he was so damaged before he became president that watching his life always has been like watching a reality show and likely always will be. I think he grew up in a goldfish bowl and has stayed there all his life and it's just how he sees things. Most of the rest of us want privacy so we can psychologically survive our lives.

Sep 28, 2019 - Netflix's The Politician is a mess. But it may be a deeply meaningful one. The new comedy-drama marks Ryan Murphy's Netflix debut and may ...

This is funny in a very different way and reminds me a lot of how people thought in the 1960s and 1970s about life in that honesty and genuiness was very important. And this show is sort of about the opposite of honesty and genuiness. So, it's a parody of politicians who start in Junior high and High School setting out to be President of the United States no matter the cost to anyone on earth.

So, in this sense the candidate that looks like a young Nixon is like a young Nixon or a young Trump. But, he looks like Nixon Growing up in Santa Barbara.

But, expect these people to really mess with your head to the point where you cannot really figure out who is genuine and who is not. So, if you have mental health problems already this is NOT the show you want to be watching.

I tend to be the type of person who is a survivor so I can watch something like this and just laugh or cry but some people's reality is very fragile and if you are already questioning reality this may not be the show you want to watch.

Or then again this might also save your life depending upon where exactly you are at with all of this.
