Firefighters continue to build containment lines, however fire officials say hot, dry weather and the absence of marine layer has made vegetation more receptive resulting in increased fire intensity and rates of spread and longer burn periods.
Evacuation orders and road closures are in place as the threat to structures continues to rise, now totaling 1,560 structures.
CAL FIRE says four firefighters have suffered minor heat related injuries while battling the blaze and a total of six structures are destroyed and two others are damaged.
There are now more than 800 fire personnel battling the fire. Full containment is expected on Aug. 30.
