Road closures ordered as Zogg Fire in Igo near Redding continues to grow
A fast-moving vegetation fire burning off Zogg Mine Road has already burned 15,000 acres in Igo, California, about 18 minutes from Redding, on Sunday afternoon.
The fire was first reported just before 3 p.m. and quickly grew to 400 acres.
The fire is moving southwest fanned by strong north winds that are gusting 30-40 mph with low humidity, the National Weather Service said. A red flag warning for the area has been extended to 9 p.m. Monday.
Road closures have been ordered, and there are also a few spot fires burning in the Redding area.

Road closures are in effect for:
- Clear Creek Road at Cloverdale Road
- Diggins Way at Placer Road
- Gas Point Road at Foster Road
- Highway 36 at Bowman Road in Tehama County
- Muletown Road at Placer Road
