Very pleasant Trip!
The weather started out about 43 degrees where we live on the coast which is actually pretty cold for the coast this time of year. But, than again late November often is the coldest time of the year here on the Northern California coast simply because often there are no clouds to hold the heat then unless there is a storm going on.
The temperatures I expected from weather reports were 70 to 73 once we got in Interstate 5 but I was surprised at 89 degrees somewhere north of Williams which stayed at least 86 to 88 or 89 all the way to Redding. After Redding the temperatures started to drop a lot up to Mt. Shasta because we were watching the sun set on Mt. Shasta from about Redding onward. Most of the snow has melted off even the snow above 10,000 feet from a recent storm within the last month which dusted snow above 10,000 feet. A friend sent a picture when the first snows fell a month ago this season.
The weather was perfect along the coast and inland going up Interstate 5 all the way after the cold morning along the Northern Coast of California at daybreak.
