If Trump wants a pardon for Federal Crimes he should resign one day early and let Pence Pardon him. However:

 If he did that I don't think Pence would now pardon him simply because it would permanently end Pence's political career. So, especially after Trump almost got Pence and all Congress people killed by rioters I don't think Pence has the "Time of Day" for Trump at this point.
