Because of this, the virus likely will continue to mutate as it moves through hosts in these countries even if all the richer nations get 100% vaccination rates which is also quite unlikely given the position of Anti-Vaxers in the U.S. and Europe and other richer nations.
I was doing a little research on anti-Vaxxers in the U.S. and I found that at least 31 million people are following anti-Vaxxer Facebook posts right now:
A new report by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) has lambasted social media companies for allowing the anti-vaccine movement to remain on their platforms. The report's authors noted that social media accounts held by so-called anti-vaxxers have increased their following by at least 7·8 million people since 2019. “The decision to continue hosting known misinformation content and actors left online anti-vaxxers ready to pounce on the opportunity presented by coronavirus”, stated the report. The CCDH warned that the growing anti-vaccine movement could undermine the roll-out of any future vaccine against COVID-19.
The report noted that 31 million people follow anti-vaccine groups on Facebook, with 17 million people subscribing to similar accounts on YouTube. The CCDH calculated that the anti-vaccine movement could realise US$1 billion in annual revenues for social media firms. As much as $989 million could accrue to Facebook and Instagram alone, largely from advertising targeting the 38·7 million followers of anti-vaccine accounts. Huge sums indeed, but it is worth noting that, in 2019, Facebook generated revenue of $70·7 billion.

What this all means regarding the increasing of mutant strains of Covid-19 is anyone's guess over the next few years time.
The point is from my point of view not to denegrate the anti-Vaxxers because in the end they have a right to their point of view. The point is because of their point of view likely many more people will die of coronavirus variations.
Are Anti-Vaxxers right or wrong? Likely both. Because there likely won't ever be a PERFECT Vaccine. So, to some degree there are drawbacks to any vaccine anyone could ever make.
However, the way I look at it is this: Do you want to die of coronavirus or would you rather live?
This might be the only relevant question for people on earth over 30 years of age at this point.
If you want to live a vaccine will 95% of the time if it is a Pfizer or a Moderna vaccine keep you alive. You might get covid but then because of the vaccine 95% of the time you won't die from it.
However, that isn't necessarily true if you get the South African or Brazilian version of Covid-19 at least at this point.
