Resident Alien on the SYFY Channel

 I was thinking why it is that I'm so intrigued by this series Resident Alien on the SYFY channel. I think it is interesting because you hear his internal dialog so in a sense you are on his side sort of like him being an anti-hero and he is just so geeky like a child in some ways that you hope he can stay alive and not get killed by some 8 year olds (who you hope also don't harm themselves trying to defeat him).

I think it's because he is so psychologically complex and intelligent. However, he greatly underestimates human beings even though he does say that we are dangerous. But, he will do things like walk down the middle of the street and almost get hit by car like a 3 or 4 year old might do also. So, though he is intelligent like a real doctor here in the U.S. there are levels where he is also like a child. And since he is not used to having any emotions at all he is overwhelmed at every point at the emotions he feels having taken on a more human form even though he was already a biped but not like us much at all.
