What kind of gas mileage does a Cessna 150-152 get ?

NOTE: I MAY SHARE MORE OR NOT BUT IT'S GETTING DARK AND I NEED TO GET MY DOG INSIDE BECAUSE OF RACCOONS AND COYOTES AND OTHER WILD ANIMALS HERE WHERE I LIVE. SO, I'VE GOT TO GET OUT OF THE HOT TUB BECAUSE THE SUNSET SET A WHILE AGO. END NOTE.

ONE SAYS 8 MPG AND THE OTHER SAYS 20 MPG. HOWEVER, THEY COULD BE FLYING AT DIFFERENT ALTITUDES. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE 8 MILES PER HOUR PERSON IS AT 5000 FEET IN DENVER AND THE 20 MILES PER GALLON PERSON IS IN LOS ANGELES OR SAN DIEGO ALONG THE BEACH AT SEA LEVEL THIS WOULD MAKE PERFECT SENSE.

BUT, PEOPLE WHO FLY TO DENVER IN THEIR PRIVATE PLANES FROM SAN DIEGO OR LOS ANGELES OFTEN CRASH ON LANDING OR TAKEOFF BECAUSE THEY AREN'T USED TO THE THINNER AIR AT 5000 FEET OR HIGHER. SANTA FE, FLAGSTAFF, COLORADO SPRINGS BY THE WAY ARE ALL ABOVE 7000 FEET WHICH IS EVEN SCARIER TO TAKE OF AND LAND FROM IF YOU AREN'T USED TO IT.

ALSO, AS YOU FLY AT DIFFERENT ALTITUDES YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE RATIO OF FUEL  TO AIR FROM ALTITUDE TO ALTITUDE OR YOU MIGHT CRASH OR THE ENGINE MIGHT STALL TOO.

 About 8 mpg

Something such as a small trainer, a Cessna 152, for example, will burn about 6 gph. It will cruise at about 110–115 mph. So you can do the arithmetic from that. About 8 mpg in my plane.
