When I went to Nepal and India I found the Nepalese and Tibetan People mostly "Precious"

What do I mean by that?

Many Nepalese and Tibetans practice Tibetan Buddhist Compassion towards all people. I suppose it would be a little like English people being so polite that they might injure themselves so you would be happy and okay. However, it's a little different in that they seem to genuinely care what is happening to you not just out of politeness but also a "precious" and innocent quality especially if you are far from a big city where people might be difficult to deal with. For example, around New Delhi people might be difficult sort of like New Yorkers can be difficult in that way. Not bad, just pure survivors who are going to make it through anything whether you do or not. This is just the way people in New Delhi or New York City are.

But, that's kind of a city thing where if you don't have attitude you might not survive there.

Whereas out in the country people often are "precious" and wonderful to be around. They were to us in 1985 and 1986 because we were traveling as a family of 5 so they didn't feel threatened like they might from single travelers or 1 or 2 teenagers or 20 somethings from the U.S. or Canada or Europe or New Zealand or Australia.

So, there was this "precious" quality I found in both Nepalese country people and Tibetan and Indian Country people both. There are many Tibetan refugees especially places like Dharamshala India where the Dalai Lama lives up at around 6000 feet in the foothills of the Himalayas surrounded by over 20,000 foot peaks.
