Memento(2000)
My daughter wanted me and my wife to see this movie because she is studying Film Editing. So, this film editing work was the first movie this lady edited and wasn't an apprentice. So, it is an excellent job of film editing. It's about a guy whose short term memory is gone and how he is trying to move forward through his life anyway. It's an interesting concept but I found myself sort of confused at what the truth actually was even after the end. However, many times in life we don't know what things are or what they mean because no one tells us. Often, (especially if you are under about 20 years of age) you might often have no clue what is going on because adults often don't tell you. So, I found it an exercise in some ways of being a child again and not told about so many things in your life because especially in the 1950s people didn't talk to kids much and tell them much about what was going on. Many adults live in a world like this too whether they have short term memory loss or not. I would say only a minority of people actually know much about what is going on in their lives much because of all these factors around the world. Most people don't really understand life much at all.
However, it might be too disturbing a concept for younger children to take in.
