There is a layers icon that if you click will take you into layers and I just added lightning strikes to the weather video which can be localized for one area or it can be expanded to see most of the states too regarding rain, wind, snow, lightning strikes, etc. and it can be a video if you wish too seeing everything happen in real time.
I have been able to see when it was going to rain within 5 minutes using this application which is great if you want to take a hike before a cloudburst of rain or snow or heavy winds wherever you are in the U.S.
