When I was studying to be a psychologist (even though I married and had a child before I became a psychologist in the early 1970s) I wanted to help people who were going through a psychological awakening. If you want to better understand what a spiritual awakening is like a good example in a Christian context would be the movie "Brother Sun Sister Moon" which is the story of Saint Francis of Asisi in Italy.

Having gone through my own spiritual Awakening starting when I was 15 which was caused by the extreme trauma of a concussion then night time seizures often between ages 10 and 15. So, I understood "coming to God" or "God moving into my body with me literally". However, to many people this might be unthinkable until this was absolutely necessary to your continuing staying alive like it was for me.

Because going through a spiritual awakening might be viewed by your family and friends as a psychotic break because you become a completely different person than before.

However, for you, in that moment it is the beginning of your complete enlightenment in this lifetime

instead.

So, you can see how important it is to be able to know the difference from a psychotic break to someone who is becoming enlightened instead.

If you are around the wrong people it can be very dangerous going through these changes in your life both to them and to you and to the world in general around you.

Because becoming spiritually awakened and enlightened is actually to help everyone have better lives including the one becoming spiritually awakened.
