People who think that the coronavirus is going to end are likely wrong

Why is this?

Because the Spanish Flu didn't have infinite variants like the Covid-19 has. So, we are dealing with something more like AIDS which is with us to stay and has infected millions around the world now (even though AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease (unlike the air born Delta and Delta Plus Variants).

So, because it is air born and literally infinite types of variants seem to keep appearing Covid-19 Variants might never stop coming. So, preparing for it not to end might be important and for each new variant to be worse than the last as we go through the rest of this century.

We all hope it will end yesterday. I wish it would end too. But, it's kind of like wishing that hippos would stop swimming in your favorite swimming hole or alligators to stop swimming there or crocodiles to stop swimming there. Likely it isn't going to happen.

So, for the same reason we might need to prepare by getting vaccinated so our whole families aren't gone during the next 10 to 20 years of this.

I can give you an example of this in my own life:

I always hated seat belts in Cars because when I grew up no one wore them. So, from 1948 until around 1989 or 1990 I never wore a seat belt. In fact, I believed that wearing a seat belt would cause me to have an accident.

However, I got my first no seat belt ticket in early 1990 on Maui near Lahaina and Kaanapali. I really couldn't afford this no seat belt ticket then. So then, I flew back to San Francisco and got another no seat belt ticket and so sadly I started wearing seat belts ever after simply because I didn't want to be 150 to 200 dollars every time I got a ticket for not wearing a seat belt.

So, likewise, just because I wanted seat belts and seat belt laws to go away this wasn't going to happen.

You and I and everyone on earth wants Covid-19 to go away but unfortunately it's likely here to stay (at least for now).

It's possible someone will invent a way to make it go away. However, I'm not holding my breath.
