Writing

Writing your thoughts down now might save your life during these times. I find that I can sense more what I feel and if I progressively write through any subject I tend to know what I feel and think about everything more. I think it's about being able to get all the elements pro and con of any subject and seeing them in print that allows me to figure out how I think and feel about almost anything in life.

This then allows me to make better decisions and to be more decisive when that is necessary in life.

My father taught me young to make good decisions.

He said, "As a man you are going to have to be making decisions the rest of your life for yourself and your family. So, you just have to make all the decisions with the best information that is available to you right then. When you get better information about something you can then usually change your decisions if necessary then. But, you have to just make decisions with whatever information you have available right then in life most of the time. That's just what you have to do as a man."

This was very good advice from my valedictorian father of his senior high school class of 1934 in Seattle, Washington at the time.

So, when I make important decisions I try to be as dispassionate about whatever I'm making a decision about as possible so my decisions will stand the test of time.

If you get too emotional about ANY decision it often colors your decision and often it then is the wrong one for the wrong reason.

You have to be very calm and level headed to make good decisions and being emotional usually doesn't help in making decisions about anything in your life unfortunately.

Your best friends are logic and reason and Kindness and of course God and his angels.
