Brandishing in public as opposed to Open Carry in public

Open carry means you have a loaded weapon in a holster or case that you are carrying on your person.

Brandishing means you have this loaded weapon in your hands like you are ready to use it.

If you are brandishing a loaded weapon anywhere in the U.S. in public the police can shoot you on the spot because this is illegal.

So, Open carry just means that you have a loaded weapon in a holster or case on your person.

However, the 29 states that have different variations of open carry laws are just like that, different.

Even counties within those states (like California) and cities have different laws.

So, just remember what the laws are where you live or are so you aren't shot by the police for breaking various laws various places in the U.S.

So, if you are not familiar with the laws where you are in cities, counties or states it might be better not to open carry anywhere until you familiarize yourself with the laws so you aren't shot on the spot by police or another open carry person making a citizen's arrest on you.

I know of people who open carry in their states but they are familiar with all the laws.

I would never do something like this unless I needed to protect my family sometime in a specific kind of emergency.

But, I hope I'm never forced by circumstances to do this because I have never had to shoot at anyone thus far in my life and I'd kind of like to keep it that way, even though I'm an excellent shot especially with a rifle.
