The really good news is that new Covid Cases testing positive have dropped 16% to 126,620 per day on average from 1 week ago

which is down from about 175,000 new cases in a day. So, the deaths now will be high from the previous highs of Covid positives a few weeks ago and hopefully this also will reduce a few weeks from now the deaths. However, the people not helped by hospitals in Alaska, Montana and Idaho because of emergency triage that will die without hospital help could keep death rates going up now at this point.

So, at least the good news right now is the number of positives is going down slowly and hopefully this continues through fall and winter (but I'm not holding my breath if you know what I mean).
