However, I started having clutch problems (as in I could start it but it would die when I tried to put it into gear) about 2 years ago and I still haven't taken it in to get the clutch fixed or to replace the knobby tires on it yet.
In 2009 I was 61 years old and dealing with a bursa on my right heel that burned like a fire whenever I stood up and walked around on it. So, I bought this motorcycle mostly just so I didn't feel like such a cripple temporarily. However, soon the bursa lost all feeling and became numb there on my heel which was much better than feeling like someone had lit a flame on my heel all the time then.
I rode it a lot along the beach where I live and down to Big Sur a couple of times and rented a UHaul motorcycle trailer and trailered it to Mt. Shasta where my wife and I rented a house there for the month of July and asked friends to come visit us there. We watched the fireworks over Lake Shastina from our back porch of our vacation rental there. I explored back roads all around Mt. Shasta then in summer of 2010.
But, the bike hasn't been running where I could put it into gear without dying for a couple of years now. I likely need to rent a Uhaul trailer to get to go people who can repair it and replace the knobby tires locally too.
It has been a great bike as a dualsport but it is likely too heavy if you are interested in something that jumps. What it is good at is being sort of like a Jeep that you could drive around the world on literally ANY kind of road you come across from paved to rocky to dirt or even muddy or snowy if you have good enough balance and motorcycle sense of how to proceed in all conditions.
