Our Car thermometer said 91 degrees in Downtown Santa Barbara today: Indian Summer anyone?

I was pretty surprised at this especially after the colder temperatures (at least 30 degrees less) on Monday.

So, it was a beautiful day as long as you were wearing Bermuda shorts or other cool clothing here today in Santa Barbara. The mountains near the ocean are still very clear because of the rain last Monday too. So, the air is very clear to breathe as well because the breezes usually come off the ocean and go inland from here and there is 6000 miles of weather to clean the air between here and Asia.

(which is interesting because it was only 81 degrees today in Paso Robles which is one of the warmest places you can be inland from here).

However, in Los Angeles it was also 91 degrees so this is starting to make more sense.

But, Palm Springs also was only 92 today so this is pretty strange weather because Palm Springs is usually at least 10 to 20 degrees or more above Los Angeles in Temperatures on most days during the year.

The highest temperature in Palm Springs was 123 degrees Fahrenheit this year. (I've seen it when the highest was 127 degrees there some years).

The highest temperature in Death Valley this year was 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

But the high today in Death Valley was around Los Angeles and Santa Barbara of 91 degrees so this weather IS very strange like I thought.
