Asking if Society is falling apart is the wrong question

The right question is likely: "What will society become during Covid and After Covid if that actually happens?"

I think this is a better question.

Seeing Covid as a "World War II" kind of obstacle for the human race to overcome would be useful too.

Think of the millions and millions on earth who have already died of this. It reminds me in some ways of AIDS which was discovered in the 1980s. The main difference is that this is Air Born and AIDS was only sexually transmitted.

So, between 27.2 and 47.8 million people have died of AIDS so far and soon Covid will have killed that many too if not having done that already. The problem being that ONLY those tested before they die have their deaths counted as Covid.

Begin quote from:

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 79.3 million [55.9–110 million] people have been infected with the HIV virus and 36.3 million [27.2–47.8 million] people have died of HIV. Globally, 37.7 million [30.2–45.1 million] people were living with HIV at the end of 2020.
