When did Blockbuster Close?: The last Franchise in Bend, Oregon Closed in 2019 but the chain went out of business in 2014

My wife and daughter and I were watching "The Last Action Hero with: 



Arnold Schwarzenegger - Wikipedia. The movie was made in 1993 and had a video store in it.

Why did Blockbuster go out of business?: Mostly Netflix caused the end of Blockbuster and most other Video Stores.  Streaming began first (I believe) at Netflix and then Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney plus and all the others since then.

Between November 6, 2013, and January 12, 2014, all 300 remaining corporate-owned Blockbuster stores in the U.S. were closed and the DVD-by-mail program was shut down. The Blockbuster official website identified 51 franchise locations remaining in operation in the U.S. in 2014.
