cases per day now: 265,427: CASES PER DAY ON JANUARY 11TH 2021 251,989 PER DAY

Besides many less deaths per day now we also see many more cases per day and this likely will increase exponentially to the point where putting your children back in school next week likely is NOT a good idea at all if you and your family want to stay out of the hospital. So, if you want to stay out of the hospital and keep your kids out of the hospital you likely don't want to put your kids in school next week (at the very least).

Major colleges have mostly reverted to ONLY online learning too like UCLA and many other big universities.

A friend of my daughters is in a northern California CSU and she expected to go back to school around the first week or two of January. I told her it was very unlikely that any CSU campus would be open then and even if it did open it likely would close soon after to onsite learning and go back to online learning only until at least April 2022 at this point.
