Average deaths per day now from Covid in U.S. 2,271 which is up 30% from last week nationwide

However, the good news is that the average amount of people getting covid is now down to 651,954 per day which is down 13% from the last week. Current hospitalization nationwide is 148,710 which is down 6% from the last week.

So, even though there are likely more cases in places like California and they are reducing in Eastern States the overall number of cases appears to be dropping.

I'm not sure the death rate has peaked nationwide because most of the people dying are in the east right now and people really haven't started to die from this as much in the west yet. So, between the east and the west the highest number of deaths per day we might not have seen yet this winter.

However, this last week children in public schools near me where I live their cases quadrupled this last week in the city to the right of us and the city to the left of us also tripled their cases in public schools as well. So, likely what you will see now is parents and friends of those children getting omicron and grandparents too to some degree. However, the deaths out here then might be about 1 to 2 months from now. However, it is also true that people tend to die quicker from Omicron than from Delta or other variants if they are going to because they are not vaccinated.
