If you study how the Omicron peaks in an area, first it peaked in South Africa. Because I'm not sure it has even peaked in Europe yet. Also, even in Europe it will peak in different days or weeks even in different areas of Europe.
Since the U.S. is such a large country you have to expect places like Los Angeles to peak at least a week or more after places like New York City do. And we don't know exactly how that will go.
Another factor is that South Africa went through Omicron in their Spring or Summer not in winter. So, because the U.S. and Europe are both experiencing Winter because we are north of the equator not south of the Equator like South Africa this could be much different for Europe and the U.S. and Canada because of this. It's hard to say until we go through the peaks different places around the world.
