Frontierswoman Martha Jane Cannary, AKA Calamity Jane, was born in 1852 and has been the subject of many legends from the days of the Wild West. In fact, there are so many legends surrounding her life that to this day it’s unclear what’s actually true! This photo was taken sometime in the 1880s.
