California has 28% of Total Homeless population in the U.S.: State funding for housing and other programs 10.7 billion dollars in California

So, most other states turf their homeless by offering them a bus ticket to someplace like San Francisco (which is likely the most welcoming city in the U.S. of Homeless people) or Los Angeles or San Diego. So, California now has the dubious distinction of having 28% of the total homeless population of the U.S. right here in California as a direct result of other poorer states turfing their homeless here to California by bus by giving them a bus ticket to California if they will leave their states.
