Exclusive Clip: Kelsey Grammer Refuses to Move On in Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop
Our exclusive clip from Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop has Kelsey Grammer remaining dedicated to standing by the titular sleuth.
We have an exclusive clip to premiere of Lionsgate's new film Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop just ahead of its release. The film is slated to become available on digital, on demand, and on DVD on Feb. 8, 2022. You can catch a quick sneak peek at the film by watching our clip below, introducing Nathalie Cox and Kelsey Grammer as the lead stars of the movie along with a feel of what their relationship is like. The film reunites the two after having previously worked together on the holiday movie Father Christmas Is Back, which premiered on Netflix just last month.
The official synopsis for Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop reads: "Move over Miss Marple, there’s a smart, stylish new detective in town — meet Miss Willoughby (Nathalie Cox)! Orphaned as a child, raised by a family friend (Kelsey Grammer, Frasier), and skilled in strategy, literature, and martial arts, there’s no case she can’t solve. But even she is baffled when a longtime friend tells her that a ghost is haunting the bookstore she runs. Is someone playing a trick on the poor woman? Is it a hallucination? Or is something more sinister going on? Make some tea and settle in to watch this thrilling whodunit-adventure and find out!"
Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop is directed by Brad Watson and written by Kate Wood, Chad Law, and Josh Ridgway. The film also stars Louise Bangay, Tara Fitzgerald, Steven Elder, Wayne Gordon, Scarlett Graham, Giacomo Gex, and Caroline Quentin.
Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop Is a Big Role for Nathalie Cox
Nathalie Cox is very well known to Star Wars fans for her role as Juno Eclipse in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. She has also appeared in Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven along with other movies like Jumper, Clash of the Titans, The Double, and London Heist. She is also set to appear in the upcoming British comedy One Year Off alongside Jeff Fahey and Chad Michael Collins. Certainly, Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop is a great opportunity for Cox as it puts her in a starring role in an intriguing film alongside a screen legend like Kelsey Grammer.
Cox's co-star Grammer is keeping plenty busy on his own as well. He is planning to revisit his most famous role as there is a long-gestating Frasier reboot that's in development, and the plan is for Grammer to reprise the part once again. He appeared in several movies last year, including The Space Between, The God Committee, and Charming the Hearts of Men. At one point, the veteran actor was set to star in an upcoming comedy series alongside Alec Baldwin, but ABC passed on the project in 2021. In any case, Grammer is always moving on from one project to the next, and it appears he'll be doing a fine job in Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop as well.

As I was watching this with my wife I was wondering whether this is going to be
a murder mystery series on Amazon or Acorn through Amazon Prime? It is very different for Americans, for example, because it
fits more into the genre of English series that I have watched before on Acorn through Amazon Prime.
