Adapting to altitude
I'm presently at about 6000 feet in a hotel and it's raining outside. Being in my mid 70s now I find I have to be careful from about 3000 feet altitude on up if I have to sleep at that altitude. One way is a trick my oldest biological daughter showed me which is to use 8 drops of what is called "Cell Food" in a bottle of water. I learned this when I went to a spiritual conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico a few years ago in Santa Fe, New Mexico which is over 7000 feet in elevation. I was a little scared because the last time I stayed there in Santa Fe at the La Fonda with my son in 2010 we both got a bad headache from the altitude and weren't really fine again until we went to Winslow, Arizona which is around 4,800 feet in altitude. We stayed in a Hotel in Winslow then in 2010 which was a converted Train Station which was pretty interesting too then. But, the point is likely around 2015 or before my daughter showed me how to adapt more quickly to altitude without headaches. At first I used this "Cell food" product to be able to ski the first morning after I arrived in Mt. Shasta without having to wait 2 or 3 days for my body to adapt to the higher altitude since I live at sea level near San Francisco on the coast of California.
I try to limit myself to 8 drops in a bottle of water a day because at one point I was putting too many drops in the water and I didn't feel right. So, even though other people are using this as a cure for Covid and things like that I'm sort of suspicious of that kind of thinking myself because of my own experiences with this. I believe what it actually is is a medical grade of Peroxide or H2O2 which ups the oxygen content of your blood so your oxygenation level is higher so you don't tend to get headaches from altitude as much.
But, like with anything be careful of this stuff.
