Thousands are dying of the heat worldwide now but within 10 to 20 years it will be millions every summer
The wealthy of the world are becoming in their own way as desperate as the poorest of the poor. And this isn't a good thing for the 50% poorest on earth at all. Because generally speaking when the rich get desperate the poor really start having problems. Take the Titanic for example, if you have ever seen the Leonardo di Caprio movie "Titanic" and watch what happens when the ship hits the iceberg, who suffers the most? That's right! The people in steerage who are poorer suffer the most.
When people are scared they don't necessarily make the best decisions which is what you are seeing worldwide now.
So, generally speaking the rich will protect their own which will tend to cause the deaths of the poorest on earth and this also will cause desperate fights of poorer people trying to survive this too. It's an unfortunate time to be poor worldwide now because you have a really good chance of dying from the heat, especially if you are older and poor and not very mobile and don't have an air conditioner worldwide now.
