if you key in this url you can read the fire map. It appears about double the amount of fires are burning now from Siskiyou County north into Southern Oregon. It is presently 83 in Ashland going to 92 there today, Yreka is presently 79 with light rain falling with a high of 92 there and hopefully no more lightning which could bring more fires. Friends driving through yesterday said the smoke was so bad near Interstate 5 around Yreka that it was even hard to drive through there on the Freeway. However, most fires are lightning caused and hopefully will be out soon as they jump on them as soon as they are started by lightning.
