It's midnight in California and 106 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley

This is the problem for a lot of places where temperatures are from 5 degrees to 25 degrees above normal for this time of year where it NEVER really cools down at night. So, if people don't have air conditioning in their homes or cars they never physically recover during the night from being cooked the previous day.

Where I live on the northern California coast most people don't have air conditioning simply because you might only need it 1 to 5 times the whole year and usually about this time of year. I myself asked my wife for us to get a portable air conditioner for our living room and she said she couldn't arrange it fast enough from some place like Best Buy to be delivered.

Several years ago all my biological children were living in Portland and living and working or going to college. Now only one of my children, my oldest son and his family live there. However, I bought a portable air conditioner for each of them at that time so they could move it to wherever they lived or moved next just because it was getting above 100 degrees several times each summer there at that time and presently too.

So, here is what the temperatures are like this week in Death Valley and remember it's 106 degrees at midnight Sunday night!
