Most people now have the lowest Opinion of the Supreme Court in my lifetime (and I was born around 1950)

Opponents of the various decisions had a much different opinion, and the dissonance has left the Supreme Court notching historic lows in recent polling on public approval and confidence.

Debate over how the court’s rightward shift is affecting its institutional health and standing with Americans has even led to some justices trading barely veiled barbs in public commentary.

When the Supreme Court does NOT reflect the will of the people it becomes irrelevant like it is now.

When one of the three branches of government becomes irrelevant we might be ready for a social or violent Civil War. We ARE presently going through a Social Civil War.

For those of you not alive in the 1960s and 1970s, this was the last really serious social civil war and many people died and many were shot or beaten to death by police in this country of all races during this time. We seem to be headed for this same kind of social civil war or worse right now.

The attempted overthrow of our electoral process for a president is one such example of the type of Civil war we are presently enduring as a nation.

Will this result in the end of our democracy?

This is unknown at this point. But, I believe right now that we have at least 21 states where voting is presently being interfered with by Republican operatives.
