China will likely lose over 1 million people this coming year to covid given all present variables in place there

The problem is that Zero Covid simply means that 500 million to 1 billion Chinese are not vaccinated (of every age old to young). You likely do have the 400 million who have a similar lifestyle to Americans mostly vaccinated though. But, unless they took airline flights to countries in which MRNA vaccines were available they only have Sinovax and not Moderna or Pfizer MRNA vaccines.

So, at the most 400 million people might fare better than the rest. So, we likely should expect 1 to 5 million people mostly over 45 years of age to die this next year.

Will this be reported by the Chinese government or will we just see massive amounts of hearses and funerals and that's all? It's likely the last that we will see only.

But, I also must say that even though America reports only 1 million covid deaths so far that is actually a lie perpetrated on the American people. Because the real amount likely is closer to 5 to 10 million Covid deaths!

Why?

Because you have to be tested positive before you die to be considered a Covid death and up to 90% of the people who die of Covid are never tested because they didn't have health care insurance and didn't want to die in the Hospital and preferred to die at home (or on the streets) without a doctor or hospital present.
