I was looking for something funny to watch and came across "Derry Girls" on Netflix. I wondered if it was as funny as the preview looked and it was. I was looking for something funny for my wife and I to watch when I found this series which seems to take place in Londonderry Ireland (DERRY) as they call it in Ireland. It's about girls around 15 or 16 years of age living in Londonderry and going to a Catholic girls school during the time of Pope John Paul II. So, I guess it has to be between 1978 and 2005 when he passed away. So, it's a very unusual era not now in Ireland. But this is very funny we found. The series.
