Crazy!

Yes. This is true. It appears that not only will the Grapevine close due to a blizzard and snow (Interstate 5 into Los Angeles from San Joaquin Valley) but also we need to be concerned traveling back to SF Bay area traveling from San Luis Obispo up that grade on 101 to Atascadero and Paso Robles. Otherwise, Unless there is significant flooding on 101 we should be able to drive north the day we need to this week towards San Francisco. 

Wouldn't it be funny (or strange) if both 101 and 5 are closed between Los Angeles and Sacramento on 5 and 101 from San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles on 101?

by the way some friends from Portland Oregon sent pictures of their house with almost a foot of snow on their front steps and roof in Portland!
