80 mph life threatening gusts 30 to 40 mph winds sustained on the coast of Northern California

We had to tell our house cleaner to stay home today because he might not get back to his wife because so many roads are closed from falling trees. So far we still have power but this storm has some of the properties of a Hurricane if you watch this thing on a video weather map. It is spinning in a counterclockwise direction which is making these winds worse and worse. Driving a car in these winds could be fatal so driving at all is a hazard because trees could fall on your car or you could come suddenly upon a downed tree across the road and be unable to stop in time. Luckily we are up on a hill in the forest 1 mile away from the ocean. I might take the dog for a walk today if the winds die down some. However, the last time I went to the beach sand was blowing into my dog's eyes some as it blew across the beach and buried a nearby parking lot at the beach in sand. Recently I parked in this lot and realized that one could get into the lot okay with a 4 wheel drive like mine but getting out the sand was too deep and I don't have a winch or even any trees or boulders there to winch from to actually get through sand that deep even in a 4 wheel drive. Highway 1 also gets sand blowing across it in winds like this too which means you could easily lose a windshield to sand pitting if you are not careful in winds this high on a freeway and smaller cars could be blown off the road or into other vehicles in winds like this too. And if you are on a motorcycle "FORGET IT" it's just too dangerous in winds this high to travel on a motorcycle at all for sane people at least.
