However, it's important to note that this has been going on for at least 10,000 to 25,000 years ever since people started farming and using slash and burn techniques. The other factor is burning wood likely too (even though this has always been mitigated by forest fires around the world burning 365 days a year before mankind started putting them out. So, fires actually are a part of the world ecosystem caused by lightning strikes around the world. So, when we put out lightning caused fires to some degree we are interfering with the world's ecosystem balance too.
So, maybe we have to think about how the world stays in ecological balance rather than how the human race stays in balance for any human beings to survive this at all this century.
