This was one of the many reasons why I got interested in Tibetan Buddhism after I learned this about Buddha because I have had amazing experiences like this too.
However, I want to caution you that I came to a point where I was soul traveling a lot and one day I realized if I didn't spend more time trying to keep my body alive that I wouldn't have a body to live in.
I realized that God had given me this body like a Car to drive around in while I was on earth and if I didn't take care of this body and nourish it and exercise it that my body would die.
But, the closest thing a body actually is is like a car, a ship, a spaceship or a plane in actuality in relation to what our souls are. In fact, when I'm driving a car I have learned to "BE" the car as I'm driving which keeps me much safer while I'm on the road and I have done the same thing piloting planes and motorcycles and jets skis and bicycles too and other things along the way like ATVs and things like that.
However, what Buddha says about other planets being occupied is really interesting. And he was doing this 2500 or more years ago!
