Renfield(2023) reminds me of Bela Lugosi Dracula movies from the 1930s in some ways
first it is supposed to be a comedy but i find it hard to laugh at such wanton gruesomeness. (at least the first time I watch this thing. However, I am a fan of Nicolas Cage in many of his movies. So, at some point when I saw Nicolas Cage in this movie I was horrified at the makeup at many different points. It's as if he is trying to be the most gruesome Dracula ever in an extreme way. The man that plays Renfield (Dracula's servant) is a very good actor too, also Awkwafina is also in this movie too as a police officer.
However, be warned this is a very gruesome thing and how Dracula is a narcissist like Trump is interesting too. So, look for that too.
