If you see life as a series of opportunities and that every seeming problem is also an opportunity then you look for the opportunities that problem presents to you. By doing this you solve your problems and move forward by taking advantage of the opportunities life has presented you with.

This one statement: "There are no problems only opportunities" literally saved my life. Of course my friend also had a master's degree in psychology to know just how important thinking this way actually is to one's survival ongoing.
