To young people who are supporting the Palestinians against Israel who are Democratic Progressives:

Here is the real problem here which might have escaped you. Hamas and all the Palestinians and all of hte Arab Countries are still going to be in existence whether or not Israel exists or not. However, this is not necessarily true of Israel.

And yes Netanyahu taking the country of Israel so far right that you almost paradoxically could say that Netanyahu is a Jewish Nazi in that he rules Israel now in a Fascist manner (at least how the Supreme court has been overrun by Netanyahu because they wanted to put him in jail (possibly rightly so).

But, still ISRAEL'S  complete existence as a nation is brought into question by Hamas' Massacre of 1200 to 1400 Israelis. And it isn't surprising given what was done to Israel without direct provocation that Israel is responding the way it is after all the deaths by rapes and beheadings and dismemberment of Israelis by the Hamas Terror Group. 

Also, the Hamas Terror group obviously doesn't really care how many Palestinians die (presently 14,000 or more) that have directly died as a result of the Hamas attack on October 7th 2023. In fact this attack in some ways could be equated with 9-11 here in the U.S. because of the Heinous nature of the attack which was unprovoked.

So, the main reason I wrote this article is what comes next will decide whether Israel continues to exist or not within the next 10 years or so.

This isn't over by a long shot and American military and civilians being attacked by Arab Palestinian sympathizers isn't over either.

So, this is what is important for liberal progressives supporting Palestinian rights need to understand.

Everything points to how this attack by Hamas could lead to the end of Israel completely. 

If you were a person fighting for your very survival against people that want you dead what would you do?

This is likely the important question here because 10 years from now Israel might not exist with everyone there dead the way this is presently going for a variety of reasons.

Will Israel survive all this? 50-50

I only give them a 50% chance of survival over the next 10 years because of this attack against them and the response so far.

This is what Progressive Democrats that are young still need to understand about what is really going on in the Middle East now.

The other problem is that Israel would nuke places like Tehran, Iran out of existence before they ended as a country too. This needs to be understood too.

The level of retribution in all directions is horrific to contemplate especially since I'm 75 and Israel was born when i was only 1 month old in 1948. So, I saw what happened already and to survive everything so far, Israel has had to be in it's own way as completely ruthless as Hamas has been in some ways.

But, as long as you know Israel's survival and the survival of it's people is by no means assured during the next 10 years. You need to know this when you think about this in a rational practical way.
