The Eu recognizes that Ukraine's survival is the EUs survival too

 This is one reason why all of Europe is considering accepting Ukraine into the EU.

With or without the U.S. supporting Ukraine, all of Europe knows that they are next if Ukraine goes. Putin will NOT stop with Ukraine if he can take Ukraine he will begin to take all of Europe back nation by nation.

I think all Americans that want Europe to continue to be Free Countries need to realize that they could be gone too along with Ukraine if Ukraine falls.

It is completely unrealistic to think otherwise (at least at this point).

In other words traveling to Europe could stop for the U.S. and business with all of Europe could stop if Putin Succeeds in Ukraine and all of Europe.
