There is a blizzard in Portland now too so driving is basically impassable in any safe way around the Portland Area as well. People can't drive to hotels safely out of Portland either to stay warm if they are in all electric homes. My son went out to try to get wood to keep warm and found no power at any store and roads too slippery to be safe. No wood available. No power available temperature presently 17 degrees with wind chill at 6 degrees last night. With present winds wind chill might be below zero at some points so not safe to be outside even in Portland right now without risking frost bite of Noses or fingers.
