The hardest hit places at this point at least are San Francisco north to Eureka and Redding. It's starting to rain here now, Wednesday afternoon.
This is a really huge atmospheric River because it's raining or snowing from Big Sur all the way up to Kamloops in Canada which is a huge stretch of land to all be getting rain or snow at the same time.
Also, it's a Pineapple express from the region of Hawaii so this is a warmer storm because it's not coming from the arctic. The arctic Storms are what bring the snow to the lowest levels usually. However, like I said before temperatures will drop to the 20s in Mt. Shasta after having lows in the mid to low 40s while we were there and highs upwards of 55 or 63 degrees a few days ago. Since it is an atmospheric river it is likely most places the snow levels won't be as high but the lower temperatures could also bring them down lower too throughout the Cascades and the High Sierra Mountains.
