Emerson Brought the New Thought movement to New England in the early 1800s

As I understand it Emerson was one of the first New Thought people in New England. I'm extrapolating here but I'm thinking that Mary Baker Eddy likely studied Emerson's ideas too in founding Christian Science later in the 1800s in the U.S. Then I believe it's possible that Madame Blavatsky also might have studied what Emerson's ideas were too regarding New Thought. So, then the "I AM" Activity reminds me of New Thought like Unity and Church of Religious Science are a part of it whereas the "I AM" Activity (Saint Germain Foundation) is a combination of New Thought as well as Theosophy and anything else the Ballards studied likely before they studied with Emma Curis Hopkins who was a student of Mary Baker Eddy.

* It was Emerson who brought the movement to New England and nurtured its growth in this country. * American Transcendentalism thus began in the 1840's as Emerson interacted with Longfellow, Whittier, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Thoreau and Lowell.Jul 31, 2023
